Book RetreatAbout The Retreat
a journey through the veil
As the veil between worlds thins during the sacred season of Samhain and All Souls' Day, we invite you on a profound 6-day immersion into the unseen—an exploration of ancestral connections, inner transformation, and the deep cycles of death and rebirth.
Rooted in the ancient traditions of Himalayan Kriya Yoga and nature-based rituals, this retreat offers a safe container to:
- Attune to the subtle realms and honor those who came before us
- Loosen the grip of conditioned identities and break through karmic patterns
- Journey through deep forgiveness, ancestral healing, and release
- Embrace impermanence and the liberation found in surrender
- Reawaken your intuition and align with the rhythms of the dark half of the year
- Celebrate renewal through movement, ceremony, and ecstatic dance
October 27 - November 1, 2026 (6 Days)
ACTIVITIES
Kriya yoga
The multilayered techniques of Himalayan Kriya Yoga – involving movement, focused breathwork, mantras, and mudras (sound and gestures) – go beyond physical movement to awaken higher consciousness, elevate energy, and inspire profound personal transformation. Our promise is to present them in a contemporary and approachable manner.
Guided Meditation
Meditation is an essential aspect of this retreat and of yoga itself. It deepens and amplifies every other practice, guiding awareness into subtler dimensions of being. Whether you are new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, the techniques shared here offer a profound gateway to stillness, intuition, and communion beyond the visible realms.
Rituals & Ceremonies
Sacred rituals will be woven throughout the retreat to honour the ancestors, attune to liminal spaces, and mark the cycles of death and rebirth. From Vedic fire ceremonies and mantra offerings to guided ancestral healing rites, each practice is designed to deepen your connection to the unseen and support profound inner transformation.
Wisdom Talks
Engage in Satsang—wisdom gatherings where ancient yogic teachings meet the mysteries of this liminal season. These sessions go beyond learning; they invite remembrance. Through inquiry and reflection, we shed old identities and awaken to timeless truth. This is not knowledge of the mind but a lived realization—an inner transformation that bridges the seen and unseen.
Delicious Soul Nourishing Meals
In this Retreat you'll receive the most bountiful expression of ChoZen's culinary offers. With fresh Juices and Smoothies every morning, a minimum of 4 Dishes per Meal, Health Elixirs and delicious healthy desserts. And on our last evening together a very special dining experience awaits!
Further Activities
Beyond the serenity of ChoZen’s sanctuary, we will immerse ourselves in the wild landscape surrounding the St. Sebastian River Preserve. Through guided river safaris and optional kayak excursions, we’ll encounter the vibrant life of this subtropical ecosystem—manatees, dolphins, herons, and alligators moving through the mangroves.
Rest & Meaningful Connection
Between sessions, you’ll have time to rest by the river, read, journal, or explore the natural surroundings. These pauses are part of the journey, allowing the teachings to integrate. They will also invite organic connection and conversation, where shared reflections and laughter weave the bonds of community that continue long after the retreat ends.
